Claire is delighted to offer yoga students the opportunity to take part in Vinyasa Flow Yoga Teacher Training. This is a fantastic opportunity for students of yoga to delve deeper into the specific skills required to become a world-class teacher of Vinyasa Flow Yoga. This programme aims to allow you to develop excellent knowledge of a dynamic, flowing, deep asana practice, formed with love and intention. It is also the aim to equip you with the skills to teach Vinyasa Flow yoga to a very high standard and leave room for personal style and further development, plus to begin to teach with skill, confidence and grace.
Whether you would like to be a great teacher or a great practitioner, we will cover every aspect of Vinyasa Yoga Flow, plus yogic philosophy, Sanskrit language & chanting mantras, alignment of asana, hands-on assists and theory of assisting.
The course includes:
Theory and practice of Teaching:
- *How to cultivate safety and intelligence as a teacher
- *How to be a facilitator of sacred space for transformation
- *Helping to turn confidence, clarity and innovation into excellent teaching
- *How to inspire, motivate & create discipline in your students
- *How to teach all levels and all body types
- *Discerning the use of modifications and variations
- *Use of voice, body language and the important principles of using touch
- *Foundations of intelligent sequencing and asana choreography
Theory and practice of Asanas:
- *Claire Missingham’s base principle postures for Vinyasa Flow Yoga
- *Precise physical alignment in postures Learning to see and understand bodies & esoteric alignment
- *Theory and detailed principles of Hands-on adjustments
- *Designing a personal practice
- *Prevention and treatment of injuries
- *Purpose and use of props, how and when to use them
Also covering for use in teaching:
- *Anatomy and Physiology including esoteric anatomy
- *Yoga for private sessions (Claire’s unique TOUCH YOGA sessions)
- *Lessons and Course Planning
Pre–Requirements for the Intensive Teacher Training course:
- *A regular Hatha, Iyengar, Ashtanga or Vinyasa Yoga practice for a minimum of 2 years
- *A good general understanding of the principles of Vinyasa
- *A distinct interest in teaching Vinyasa Flow Yoga to a high standard
- *Be self motivated yet able to take direction and be part of a group
- *Possess a genuine enthusiasm and dedication to your own practice
