Claire is delighted to offer yoga students the opportunity to take part in Vinyasa Flow Yoga Teacher Training. This is a fantastic opportunity for students of yoga to delve deeper into the specific skills required to develop a teaching or personal practice of Vinyasa Flow Yoga. This programme aims to allow you to develop deeper knowledge of a dynamic, flowing, deep asana practice, formed with love and intention. It is also the aim to equip you with the skills to a) teach Vinyasa Flow yoga to a high standard and leave room for personal style and further development, or b) Develop your personal inquiry and practice of yoga to equip yourself with the ability to form your own personal regular practice with skill, confidence and grace, or c) give you a great grounding in the beginning of your teaching practice that allows you to continue into further teacher training with knowledge and skills of the teaching of Vinyasa Flow Yoga.

Whether you would like to be a great teacher or a great practitioner, we will cover the fundamentals of Vinyasa Yoga Flow, yogic philosophy, Sanskrit language, asana, hands-on assists and theory of assisting, prana, nadis, mantras, chanting and kirtan and meditation.

Theory and practice of Teaching:

  • How to cultivate safety and intelligence as a teacher
  • How to be a facilitator of sacred space for transformation
  • Helping to turn confidence, clarity and innovation into tools for teaching
  • Inspiring and motivating trust and fearlessness in your students
  • How to teach all levels and all body types
  • Discerning the use of modifications and variations
  • Use of voice, body language and touch
  • Principles of sequencing and creating routines

Theory and practice of Asanas:

  • Precise physical alignment in postures
  • Learning to see and understand bodies
  • Hands-on adjustments
  • Designing a personal practice
  • Prevention and treatment of injuries
  • Purpose and use of props

Pre–Requirements for the Intensive Teacher Training Retreat:

  • A regular Hatha Yoga and Vinyasa Yoga practice for a minimum of 2 years, with a good general understanding of the principles of Vinyasa
  • A distinct interest in deepening your knowledge of, or teaching Vinyasa Flow Yoga
  • Possess a genuine enthusiasm and dedication to your own practice
